| About A.S.K. Joommal |
| |
| Mr A.S.K. Joommal, who turned 77 this year, was
born in Durban. A.S.K. stands for Ata'ullah Ali Sarfaraz Khan. His
father Maulawi Ghulam Muhammed Khan |
| Joommal, who was highly educated scholar from
Bombay, was the initial Islamic mentor of A.S.K. from childhood. |

| Joommal came to Johannesburg in 1944. He
matriculated in 1947, attended Wits University and graduated with a BA
Degree in 1950, majoring in English in |
| and Philosophy. He later taught English to
matriculants at Damelin College before being given a post there as
General Administrator until his retirement. |
| |
| He will soon be joining the circle of
internationally renowned authors, editors and other literally masters,
when a high collection of his outstanding articles, reports, |
| essays, and letters that we were published
globally in various journals, magazines and newspapers over the past 30
years, is to be published in a 500 page book |
| entitled -
THE BEST of A.S.K JOOMMAL, for a world
wide distributor. |
